Cristina Tringali

Hi, I’m Cristina, from Italy. I’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer almost 2 years ago now, at 25. At the beginning, they were telling me to treat my bump with “arnica and hot water”. Then, thanks to other doctors, in one week I found myself under chemo treatment. When they told me, I cried for 2 hours. Then I went swimming and as soon as I was back home, I decided it was time to make jokes about what was happening: no time for crying, I had to be strong! I’ve been really lucky to have my family, amazing doctors and nurses and so many friends by my side. I can say that helped a lot and just made time fly: in 5 months, there was another me with totally new boobs on Christmas! Later, I had to do the maintenance chemo for 10 months. It’s been a long way but still, I’m here and I couldn’t be happier for how things went. For this reason, at the moment I’m in NY to live new experiences and take my time back! In conclusion, I’d like to share with you my photo diary project: I started taking photos because I wanted to focus more on what was happening, and, you know, everything happens so fast that photographing some moments was the best way to remember them. So here it is: Thank you, Cristina
