The best is yet to come!

I was a college senior when my mom, best friend, confidant, and ride or die was diagnosed with breast cancer. My entire world changed and my faith in God was strengthened. It was no doubt that I would be there for my mom in whatever capacity she needed. I encourage daughters to step up and God will give you the strength to get through.

Being a caregiver is a selfless job, but the rewards are amazing! You learn that you don’t have to be strong all the time and just show up and do your best is all that is expected. I continue to accompany my mom to appointments and help her navigate through the side effects of her hormone therapy medication. She’s a survivor and we are thriving together. She is the love of my life.
