For when the provider tells you, you have breast cancer, is devastating and you feel your life is over. Well, the old one is, but a new one starts. Just having a strong family to helps, especially for me, it was my husband. Everyone deals with this news differently and is mentally painful in other ways. There are stories on the internet of women who have suffered, survived and shared their bodies of a warrior. Their journey of recovery or demise was so helpful, for they truly understand my inner feelings. One comment that I heard that was just beyond my understanding, is how people would suggest the words “new boobs”. Really! I wanted my old ones to feel like a woman. My husband made feel like a woman and this was the greatest feeling ever, and I developed strength from this. My life is going great, thanks to wonderful providers. Survivor since Nov 2012.
