When People Don’t Understand Breast Cancer

My name is Ngozi and I live in Nigeria. I found a lump at 39 and I am now 44. There is a lot of misinformation out there when it comes to breast cancer awareness. Treatment is usually delayed especially for people wanting to try out alternative treatments.

If you have just received a diagnosis: Ensure you understand what the doctor is saying, ask questions and seek a second opinion if you are not satisfied. Look for credible sources to get information from and take one day at a time.

I am grateful I was well informed to be able to make the right decisions and I have no regrets.
