Breast Cancer & Me

In September of 2021, I was diagnosed with DCIS in the right breast. I had no genetic markers. I decided to pursue a double mastectomy after research and reading. I thought that was the best option for myself.

After the surgery at the visit with the oncologist he told me “it’s amazing you made the right decision.” In the left breast was atypical lobular hyperplasia, which can be a precursor to invasive breast cancer.

I can only encourage others trust yourself.
