Ed Dandridge serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a global leader in property and casualty insurance solutions. Ed Dandridge is responsible for leading teams dedicated to advancing the organization’s reputation, global brand and broader corporate affairs. He also drives market positioning and revenue growth in line with AIG’s artificial intelligence (AI) strategy.
Throughout more than 30 years of experience, Dandridge has built a reputation as a business leader adept at guiding organizations through pivotal transitions. Dandridge’s senior leadership roles span across several industries, including public affairs, advertising, data and analytics, political consulting, media, marketing and communications, and operational roles. He has held C-suite positions at Fortune 500 companies, such as AIG, Boeing, Marsh & McLennan, Nielsen, and ABC.
Dandridge also served as President of ScaleWith in its early stages and as President and CEO of the National Association of Investment Companies.
Dandridge combines expertise in business strategy, corporate affairs and brand management with an inclusive leadership style to build high-performing, collaborative global teams. His broad experience enables him to advise boards and management teams on strategic priorities involving customer engagement, demand-driven growth, AI and digital transformation. He also provides guidance on policy and regulation, market access, and reputational positioning for enterprise value. Dandridge’s leadership has delivered meaningful results across industries, and his commitment to philanthropy further underscores his lasting impact.
Dandridge serves as Chair of the National Board of Directors of Susan G. Komen. Speaking about his role, Ed Dandridge explained, “I joined Komen’s Board to support the mission of ending breast cancer in our lifetime. With proper access to health services, breast cancer is a disease that can be screened for, detected and, many times, successfully treated. But for all the advances we’ve made, countless people are still dying simply because they did not have access to the care or information they needed.” Among his prior leadership roles, he served as Director and Vice Chair of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) and as a member of the President’s Advisory Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
Dandridge earned a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from Tufts University as well as a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. He has been recognized several times as one of the “Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America” by Savoy Magazine. He was also given the CMO Club Award for Customer Experience in 2018.
