When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, initially my pride got in my own way. I have always been a strong, independent Mother, Wife, and Model. I was ashamed to say, I can’t do this alone.
My self esteem needed work in order to be vulnerable enough to ask for what I needed. But once I grounded myself in self love and worked through the shaky self esteem, not only did my fight for my life shift, but the people who showed up for me multiplied.
