2 year TNBC SURVIVOR

I was diagnosed with Stage 2b Triple Negative Breast Cancer in January 2020 at the age of 47, right before the pandemic started. My treatment included 4 rounds of Red Devil and 4 dose dense rounds of Taxol, surgery (lumpectomy, reduction & lift) and 15 rounds of radiation treatment. To say that Breast Cancer has changed me is a complete understatement. I now find joy in everyday simple things, I don’t sweat the small things in life. I appreciate and love my 2 adult daughters who were there for me every step of the way and my amazing husband of 30 years who cared for me every single day during my treatment, who spent hours waiting in the parking lot in our car because during the pandemic visitors were not allowed in the cancer treatment center. Since we live 2 hours away from my treatment center and since it was during the pandemic he had to sit in the car and wait for my treatment to be over. I cannot express how amazing it feels to be a survivor, even though I know it could come back at any time, I am so thankful for every single day the Good Lord has given me.
