I was diagnosed the day before Thanksgiving 2015 with IDC and DCIS, I was 39. I found out in December I would have to have chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and radiation. All this while working full time and raising two toddlers, my prognosis is good, but my entire world has been turned upside down and my life will never be the same. The scariest part is the beginning with all the unknowns, but once I got a plan I went into warrior mode. I would like to help other woman, newly diagnosed know that all this is doable and you will find strength that you never knew you had. I just want to do good with my diagnosis and educate younger women on the risks of family history and paying attention to the signs.
