I was diagnosed with IDC, Stage 2 with BRCA2+ at age 29 after I found a lump on a self breast exam. This was just 3 months after my daughter’s first birthday.

I endured dose dense chemotherapy, double mastectomies, radiation, and currently hormone suppression for 10 years.

My daughter is what keeps be going everyday.

I want young women to take away from my story that you have to be self aware and know your family history. My grandmother had breast cancer in her 30s and I have family members BRCA+ but I kept pushing it off. Advocate for your health and family.
