I’m a Survivor

I was diagnosed with stage 2b grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma (HR-/HER2+) just months after turning 31 years old. I was newly engaged as well and quickly things shifted from planning a wedding to planning over 50 doctors appointments, scans, imaging and testing. Breast cancer has changed my outlook on life immensely — I definitely don’t sweat the small stuff anymore. Fighting is my only focus. I’m currently going through chemotherapy and still have surgery and radiation to go. It sometimes feels like other young adults my age are moving forward in life while I’m stuck battling cancer. It affects you physically, emotionally, financially and mentally. I know this is just a road bump and I’m so grateful for my huge support system!
