I am Marisol Guerrero, and I was diagnosed with a rare breast cancer at the young age of 24. Cystosarcoma Phyllodes is so rare, that in 2005 it was not considered a breast cancer at that time. After much research, it was not considered a rare breast cancer until 2007, 2 years after my treatment. Cystosarcoma Phyllodes is a super-fast-growing tumor that is treated with a wide-local excision, which I underwent in June 2005. Being that this tumor was not considered cancer until further research deemed it cancer in 2007, I have felt that I do not belong like most breast cancer survivors. I didn’t have to have chemotherapy or radiation. I now know that all breast cancer stories are different, and mine is rare. I thank the Susan G. Komen organization for all they do to help bring awareness and fundraising to this cause, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that WWE has paired up to create an even larger (more fun) platform! I am now a 14-year breast cancer, survivor, and am now married with 4 wonderful children. I was not able to breastfeed any of my 3 daughters after my surgery had taken lots of my breast tissue, so breast cancer has taken that away from me. I am a huge WWE fan (along with my entire family), and I hope I win this amazing opportunity so I can share my story on a wider scale, to bring awareness that breast cancer does NOT discriminate against age, race, sex or ethnicity! Know your breasts! Save your life!!
