Just diagnosed with invasive ductile carcinoma.

In the Beginning

And so it starts. My journey through breast cancer is ahead of me. I’m somewhat apprehensive about facing all this. Not crazy about surgery but there is no alternative. I’m scheduled for a lumpectomy on March 31 and I have to admit I’m a bit scared. The monkey wrench in my particular situation is I have breast implants that are 47 years old. The tumor is lying on top of the left implant. I’m consulting with both surgeons, breast and plastic, next week to get more particulars on what will have to happen. The more you know….
