My name is Lydie and I live in Rwanda. On November 2019, I have been diagnosed with stage 3 Invasive breast cancer.

I had the opportunity to go to India where I have been treated for 6 months, leaving my family, my husband and my 2 daughters. I have been blessed enough to stay with my 2 parents during that period and having a great support among family, relatives and friends.

I decided to start writing during the treatment in order to share my experience. I was mainly thinking about all the ladies, men out there going through this journey, but also to reply to the silent questions people think about without having the courage to ask. I wanted also to make people understand around me that it was not the end, that life continues no matter what- I was growing, fighting harder for a better me.
