Teaching Fitness Classes Gives Me Strength

I began to take Zumba classes after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was really depressed and I felt overwhelmed with hopelessness. Taking the Zumba classes allowed me to find the happy place within myself and I later became a licensed Zumba Instructor. I continued to grow as a group fitness instructor in other areas as well. Through teaching Zumba and other fitness classes, I have been able to create more fitness and exercise opportunities. I was also able to create new avenues for healthy lifestyle choices within the community and surrounding areas.

I love bringing people together to foster relationships that uplift and encourage one another. I love making people smile. I’ve learned that working together allows us to strengthen and bring out the best in each other. It gives me strength to continue to be a motivating force for others.

I love to teach methods of embracing and empowering others through dance fitness, educational workshops and fun social activities. I am committed to promoting stronger, healthier lifestyles in a fun way for every student that attends my classes. My goal is to positively affect my community while also elevating each individual participant’s health and fitness level.

I am also committed to being a continuous source of positivity and encouragement for each of my students and to help them be the best representation of themselves. Teaching fitness classes and making others smile continues to give me strength.
