Legislation introduced in Nevada would remove financial barriers to imaging that can rule out breast cancer or confirm the need for a biopsy. In 2023, more than 2,620 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 440 will die of the disease in Nevada alone.

Susan G. Komen thanked lawmakers in New Mexico and Governor Lujan Grisham for eliminating barriers to care so that people with state-regulated health plans can now receive medically necessary diagnostic and supplemental imaging without any out-of-pocket expenses.
