Susan G Komen® Announces Fort Worth MORE THAN PINK WALK At The Shops at Clearfork

Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, today announced that it will hold the Greater Fort Worth MORE THAN PINK Walk at The Shops at Clearfork on Saturday, October 1, 2022. The MORE THAN PINK Walk will be the first, in-person walk since 2019.

“We are excited to welcome Walk participants back in person this year and are grateful for the opportunity to provide a community for anyone who has been impacted by breast cancer. Whether you are in treatment, celebrating survivorship, or a family member, friend or loved one, we hope you will join us in October and be part of our collective efforts to end breast cancer forever,” said Joy Rich, Executive Director at Susan G. Komen Greater Fort Worth.

Member of the Komen Leadership Council, Joan Katz, knows firsthand about the life-changing impact Komen has had on our community and on those hearing the words “you have breast cancer.” This summer marks 40 years as a cancer survivor for Katz. In being diagnosed in 1982, the same summer Komen began, Katz had Komen holding her hand through every step of her journey.

“October 1 is also the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month and the return of the in-person MORE THAN PINK Walk. We welcome all the members of our breast cancer community honoring friends, family and anyone who has been impacted by the disease,” said Katz “The MORE THAN PINK Walk is about making strides toward curing breast cancer and the funds raised through registrations and sponsorships will give more individuals who have been impacted by the disease access to resources and the support they need now.”

The Power of ONE Week – a week’s worth of events to honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer – will precede the Walk/Race starting on September 26. A schedule of in-person and virtual events and additional details will be announced soon.
