Song lyrics

My mom is a 4-year breast cancer survivor. My two sisters walked in the 3-day this past weekend and my children and I were there with my mom to support them. At one point, I got the kids singing, “We’re all about that pink, about that pink, no cancer” and then, because Anna (my oldest daughter) is awesome with music (although she won’t admit it), I asked her if she would write lyrics to the whole song using the “All About That Bass” tune, which she proceeded to do before we got to the next cheer station. Here they are. I thought someone there might like to see this.

Because you know

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink

Yeah, it’s pretty clear, we love them boobies

And we can shake ’em, shake ’em

Like we’re supposed to do

‘Cause I got that pink power that all the girls need

And all the right boobs in all the right places

I see that magazine, it’s called Pink Power

We know pink power rocks

C’mon now, don’t make it stop

If you got Pink Power just raise it up

‘Cause every inch of your Pink Power

Is so rockin’ & so great

Yeah, my mama she told me it’s okay to have pink power

She says, “Bras like a little more boobies to hold in place.”

You know I won’t be no little girl with no pink power,

So if pink’s what you’re into then come with me and move along

Because you know

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink

I’m bringing boobies back

Go ahead and tell that stupid cancer that

No, I’m not playing. I know you think you’re cool

And I’m here to tell ya

Every ounce of your pink power is gonna kick some cancer butt

Yeah, my mama she told me it’s okay to have pink power

She says, “Bras like a little more boobies to hold in place.”

You know I won’t be no little girl with no pink power,

So if pink’s what you’re into then go ahead and move along

Because you know

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink, no cancer

I’m all about that pink

‘Bout that pink
