My first diagnosis of breast cancer in 2014. I faced it head on with no emotions but when I was told on Thursday, May 18th that I had Stage 1 breast cancer and would require a mastectomy of the left breast and said I have a legion that is infected. It was not until I left the doctor’s office and walked to my car that I realized I had cancer and would need my breast removed and I broke down in tears. After I had a good cry, my attitude changed and I felt that if I survived the first time I would have the strength to survive again. I have been on my journey since June 22, 2017 and it will not complete until next year.
