Internship Opportunities

The Komen Internship Program provides students with hands-on nonprofit experience in a remote work environment along with academic education and professional job preparation.

Interns will have the opportunity to explore one of the following departments:

Communications & Marketing

Communications and Marketing interns shape how Komen shares its mission with the world. Interns support content creation, digital marketing, social media, media relations or outreach initiatives that inspire people to take action in the fight to end breast cancer.

Community Health & Patient Support

Interns work directly with teams that support people impacted by breast cancer. You may help develop education materials, assist with program outreach or support services that ensure patients and communities have access to trustworthy information and compassionate care.

Development & Fundraising

Development interns play a key role in supporting the revenue-generating teams that fuel Komen’s mission. You may assist with donor research, volunteer management, stewardship, event planning, partnership outreach or strategic fundraising projects that help raise critical funds.

Mission, Science & Public Policy

Interns in these departments contribute to Komen’s work in research, data analysis and advocacy. You may support scientific program evaluation, policy research, legislative tracking or mission reporting that strengthens Komen’s impact across the country.

Operations & Organizational Support

These internships provide experience across the essential business functions that keep a national nonprofit running. You may assist with finance, legal research, HR projects, IT support or organizational operations that strengthen internal systems and processes.
