Advocacy
More than 42,000 women and men in the U.S. lose their life each year from breast cancer. Susan G. Komen® is committed to doing everything we can to change that unacceptable reality, including mobilizing the voice of everyone affected by this disease to achieve lasting change through sound public policy and advocacy. Only through informed government action can we make the broad, systemic and lasting change we need to help us achieve our Bold Goal of reducing the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. By mobilizing our communities to take action, we can ensure the voice and needs of breast cancer patients and their loved ones are heard by policymakers and government regulators.
