Complementary and Integrative Therapies are a broad group of health care approaches that originated outside usual Western medical practice. Many people with breast cancer choose some form of complementary or integrative therapy to help deal with side effects or improve quality of life.
They are used with or in addition to standard medical treatment and generally have not been studied in clinical trials to determine safety or effectiveness.
