In her role as a wealth management advisor, Brooke Hunady understands the importance of planning for the unexpected. After receiving a breast cancer diagnosis despite years of routine screenings, she chose to turn her experience into action by participating in VIPink, Komen’s ambassador fundraising program, rallying her network of friends, family and colleagues to help fuel the fight to end breast cancer.

Jim’s Story: Showing Support through VIPink Ambassador Fundraising

Jim Morrison didn’t have to look far for inspiration when it came to fundraising to help end breast cancer. His wife, Deb – a longtime supporter of Komen and a breast cancer survivor – made sure of that when she “voluntold” him to participate in Komen’s VIPink ambassador fundraising program. His supportive gesture became even more personal when, during his campaign, Deb was diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time.

Fundraising Legends Club: Recognizing Komen Fundraisers Making an Impact

Komen’s community of fundraisers is full of people who go above and beyond in their commitment to help end breast cancer. The Fundraising Legends Club recognizes those individuals who raise at least $2,500 through the 3-Day, MORE THAN PINK Walk or Race for the Cure, honoring their leadership and commitment to making a lasting difference.

Serving Up Support for Breast Cancer with Pickleball for the Cure

When Beth Fitzgerald and Dan Morneau decided to host a breast cancer fundraiser, they turned to pickleball – a sport known for its accessibility and fun. Through Komen’s Pickleball for the Cure fundraising platform, they united their community for an unforgettable event that raised more than $18,000 to support breast cancer research and awareness.
