You’re Not Too Young, Bestie is an educational series designed to raise awareness, inform and empower young women. With accurate and relatable information about breast health and breast cancer, this series is designed to address the full spectrum of breast health — from risk reduction, early detection and dense breasts to the realities of a breast cancer diagnosis and navigating life as a young woman living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Our goal is to equip young women with the education and confidence to take charge of their health, no matter where they are on their health care journey.

Oct. 23, 2025 – Breast Cancer Breakthroughs Episode 16: On the Horizon of PI3K Pathway Inhibition

In the next episode of Breast Cancer Breakthroughs, you’ll hear from Komen Scholar Carlos Arteaga, M.D., Komal Jhaveri, M.D. and Komen Advocate in Science member Thelma Brown about the challenges of targeting the PI3 Kinase pathway in breast cancer and how new research is ushering in ways to target this pathway. Watch on YouTube. 

Dec. 8, 2025 – Komen EmpowerED: San Antonio

Join Komen San Antonio on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for Komen EmpowerED: San Antonio. This free, in-person education event is designed for anyone impacted by breast cancer – whether you are newly diagnosed, living with metastatic disease, a long-term survivor or a caregiver who wants to learn more. At this event you will learn from trusted local experts, connect with others who understand and access valuable resources to help you take charge of your care and well-being. Registration is required in advance.

Susan G. Komen is partnering with with CURE® for their Educated Patient Updates (EPU) series. This series will support and empower the MBC community; including patients, caregivers and healthcare providers; with the latest updates on research outcomes and treatments available. Event participants will have an opportunity to engage with leading experts, connect with peers and access invaluable resources tailored for individuals living with MBC.
