At last week’s Susan G. Komen Dallas/Fort Worth 3-Day®, Fee P. was honored with the Crew Impact Award, recognizing her dedication to leading with heart, serving with purpose and uplifting everyone around her in the Pink Bubble.
Fee has raised more than $71,000 and participated in 25 Komen 3-Day events, all while making a huge impact on the people she has met along the way.
During the Top Fundraiser Showcase on Day 2 in Dallas, her friends Barbara B. and Sheryl C. shared what makes Fee so extraordinary. Sheryl, who has walked and crewed alongside Fee on Team STEPS for more than 13 years after meeting her at the San Diego 3-Day in 2014, described Fee as “the ultimate team player.”

“There’s no ‘me’ in Fee. Her focus is always on brightening the day of those around her. Whoever you are and wherever you have been during the 3-Day, Fee has probably served you in the past 13 years. She might have walked with you and asked how you were doing because she cares. She might have reached out to hand you a bath towel at camp showers because she knew that sometimes after 20 miles, those extra couple steps are hard,” Sheryl said. “She might have run to fill your water bottle at a pit stop while you patched up your blisters. And she might have picked you up into a sweep van when you your legs simply couldn’t go any further.”
Year after year, Fee is also one of the top fundraising crew members, going above and beyond the event’s fundraising requirement. Through her Crafting for a Cure events, she often raises more than $5,000 each year.

Whether she’s cheering on walkers, volunteering behind the scenes, fundraising or showing up for a friend in need, Fee exemplifies the compassion and selflessness that the 3-Day embodies.
Congratulations, Fee! And thank you for everything you do in the Pink Bubble community.
